This thread is for discussing the Card Customization page. I've created it with the basic info, so discuss, play around with page setup, add additional info, and w/e else.
Sooo, a formatting for the cards. They're separate from default deck cards, so I think there should be a separate page for them.
How about a "cards" page for each series, formatted just like the current cards page? I think that would be nifty. Plus not an individual page for each card, reduce burden (and complaints *wink wink*).

Not to distract from the above conversation, but the Ice Orb that is in the page uses the card art for the old Ice Orb. The Ice Orb within CC has a different card art. Older Ice Orb's still use the old card art so it's not an update.
This was posted ^^ I don't know if we can use it but I thought I'd put it up. I have 4/12 so I can take pictures of them.
@Nightly
We need the larger versions (roll over them with mouse in combat) so I can resize them down to the proper size without losing quality, which you do when blowing things up.
Asu's got this :3
Atra du garjzla ignasia! Sé onr sverdar sitja hvass!

Asu and I have resized and renamed and sharpened the pictures, and they're ready for upload.
Now, we need to say, how are we going to name them? They're still going under "image cards/WHAATEEEEVAAAA", but we'll need a name for them to tell them apart from standard deck cards. Ignoring attack card differences, like Ice 204, would just be named ice204.
We have several options:
- Name them according to their attack values. For example, Shatter would be shatter1050, because it does 1050 damage.
- Give them a series number like Yugioh. They have small abbreviations underneath each picture that show where it comes from, like my Dark Magician Girl is CT2, Collector's Tin 2. So for this ice, it would be IS01 (Ice Series 01). So a card, shatter, would be IS01-shatter.
- Just name them in increasing numbers. shatter2, shatter3 when another edition is released, and so on.
So what do you all think?

The cards need to be done a tad better so they can be readable. Once Aureola sends me the new cards, I'll re-do them all at once owo
It's just a bunch of Wibbly Wobbly, Timey Whimey….Stuff.
@GuardMiceAE - yea, collapsibles would be needed eventually, but nice to see it in anyway. I was thinking existing series can have them open, but then I thought it'd just be a bunch of open collapsibles cuz there will be multiple series available. So I'm thinking the newest one added will have an open collapsible, and the rest are closedl, just like Quibble shops.
Also, seeing as we're going to have separate pages for each series, I was thinking to just do an "include" on each shop for the collapsibles so we don't have to edit both pages. But then I looked at the Ice Series 01 page, filled with info, and thinking it wouldn't work. Now I'm now wondering if we should do point form notes on those pages, strip out repeating info, and just leaving essentials like dates, maybe the image, and do the "include" lines anyway.

I thought it'd be good to just add the collapsibles now and then add the series when they come out and have the newest always Open but the Older ones Closed, Or Maybe all of the Collapsibles closed and maybe put them at the top of the page? Because they're supposed to come out often, not like quibble. And if you want to show me what exactly you have in mind because I don't know what exactly you're talking about, the [[include-IceSeries1]] idea.
Keep moving forward. Yeah I do stuff… sometimes.
Lol, actually now that I think about it, seems kinda redundant to do that. Might as well just link the pages. That is, unless, people want to have the CC page list out all the cards.
And just as you've said Guard, I was thinking to use "[[include ice-series-1]]" under each collapsible so anything on that Ice Series 1 page shows up where the include line would be, just so when changes need to be made, changing the Ice Series 1 page will be enough (instead of having to change both that and the CC page's cards manually)

Just link. That'll be fine. Like a page for each series. On the CC page just list a list of the Series… or else the page will be super cluttered eventually, since there will be a lot more series than quibble visits.
So yah, what do you want the names to be? I've already listed the three options above.

In terms of names, I'm of the mindset of keeping it as easily readable and memorable as can be. So obviously, if people are adding images for an "Attack 204", then the name should be similar. Also, just to take into account the possibility of something like "Attack 204" appearing in different series and/or different elements, then yea, have the series code, IS01, in front.
So altogether it's IS01attack204 (cuz IS01204attack looks like a jumble of numbers), no spaces of course. Series code in Caps, the rest in lowercase, or just all in lowercase, whichever is preferable, cuz the names will be case sensitive.
Speaking of which, should we have names like they are now, "## attack", or change it to "attack ##"? Never really came up with a standard…and just went with w/e someone put lol

Packs in the future may have multiple elements in them, so I propose the Series serial code first, then the element, then the value for attacks. For special cards, place the name before it.
Examples:
cards/IS01ice204
cards/IS01shatter1050
Atra du garjzla ignasia! Sé onr sverdar sitja hvass!
(Let the light shine! May your swords stay sharp!)
so scratch "Attack" and replace with element. Good idea.
I'm just gonna list out the Ice Series 01 codes for the cards
IS01ice101
IS01ice204
IS01ice515
Is01ice525
IS01icepierce101*
IS01icedefend515*
IS01icewall1040
IS01shatter1050
IS01iceorb2000
IS01frostbite832
IS01iceneedle500
IS01snoworb1000
* May or may not need element name, but this is highly dependent on how the element system works and whether pierce/defend gets affected by their element.
Special cards may or may not need the value, considering the series code being there, but I suppose this'll be just in case there's multiple, let's say, "Shatter"s with different attack values in the same series.
Another thought, what happens if these SAME cards appear in other series?Wait…never mind. This is only for coding purposes.

@Hina
Is there a way to have the [[include IceSeries01]] Feature and make it a collapsible? I'm just wondering because I have never seen that implemented so I don't know if that's possible.
Keep moving forward. Yeah I do stuff… sometimes.
Or we could just give every single card a serial number in their series.
IS01ice101
IS01ice204
IS01ice515
Becomes:
IS01-01
IS01-02
IS01-03
Like our own coding system. Might be simpler, but might also be a little more complicated. Whatcho think?
@Above
It's possible, I think. I've included a page in a tab on the guide, I think it can do it for collapsible as well.
Atra du garjzla ignasia! Sé onr sverdar sitja hvass!

It makes it easier for us, But it makes it complicated for newer editors, I personally have mixed opinions about this, I think it's good for making things easier, but it's complicated for anybody who wants to be apart of the OSwiki Team…Idk, I still think it's a great idea but kinks need to be worked out.
Keep moving forward. Yeah I do stuff… sometimes.
@Guardmice - all you need to do is add this line, [[include ice-series-1]], to any page and anything on that ice series 1 page will be on the page you put the include line on. To try it out, open up a random page (or a new page), put that line in (within collapsibles if you want), and hit preview, and you'll see that it works. I've tried it on the cards page, but didn't go saving it cuz I'm not sure whether or not to actually do it (as it is kinda redundant). We could either have all packs listed within the CC page, or keep it separate like we have now (or both, for people who want both a full list and separate lists using the "include" module)
@Aureola - Don't think that's the best idea. Like I said, the names should be easily memorable for the editors, and making it 01, 02, 03, means we'll have to literally memorize what cards in what order to find out what's what xD
It'd be perfectly fine if we only use it for the Ice Series 1 page, cuz then we just count as we add them to the page, which is easy. But if it shows up on other pages, it'll get confusing. But it's entirely up to you guys how you wanna do that.

Do we have a page that lists the cards and their codes? If we have one or make one then I don't think it matters how it ends up as long as that page is easily accessible.
The "codes" are just what we'll name the images, so no, we don't have a page like that (granted it's easy to check the files in the cards page), which is why we're trying to name them easily. But either way, Aureola, when you're done, just upload them and we'll deal with naming afterwards.

@Hina I know about the [[include]] feature I just didn't know what you meant. I figured out how to implement [[include]] into a collapsible and put it on the Card Customization page, tell me what you think. And also feel free to call me Guard.
Keep moving forward. Yeah I do stuff… sometimes.
@Hina
The thing is I wanna know if everyone approves of the custom sharpened cards (words sharpened more than the card). If everyone does then I'll do the rest. As it stands I don't know whether it's approved of or not xP

@Aureola - if no one answers, we'll just say approved.
@Guard - I've tried it, know what it looks like on the page, and was wondering whether or not we need all that text on the IS1 page. Was wondering if we shortened it down, if it would look better, but then again, if it's hidden under collapsibles, it's only visible to those who care to see/read it. Not a big deal.

How I'm looking at it.
1) It doesn't hurt to have as much information that is currently given.
2) It's easier to maintain if we just do the [[include]] feature and put them in collapsibles.
3) If we don't use the [[include]] feature the page becomes a huge box of coding, ultimately making it harder than needed
to update/edit every time a new series comes out.
If anyone has a con to using [[include]] feature and a default to what it is now please tell me because
all I'm noticing are pros.
Edit: Whenever more series come out, Are we sorting it by chronological or by elements? I think chronological because there might be card packs coming out with multiple elements.
Keep moving forward. Yeah I do stuff… sometimes.
All we need on the Card Customization page is just a list of the series, with the dates they were available. Pretty simple :D
And I'll get right on the card sharpening as soon as I get home.
EDIT: AP TESTS ARE OVAHR! I can work on it now :D Sowwy~
